Let’s find out what it is that always makes Ekta Kapoor’s shows so popular and well-known, as well as what Ekta Kapoor’s hit show secret mantra is!!
Ekta Kapoor, who is widely regarded as the industry’s “content czarina,” has contributed to the portrayal of more than 100 popular characters on Indian television through her work. Additionally, through her work on content-driven cinematic projects, Ekta has made it a point to assist and change the portrayals of women in the media and society.
With a diverse range of television serials, films, and web shows, there is no screen that Ekta hasn’t conquered and no screen that she hasn’t yet conquered.
But what is it that allows her to crack the success code time and time again? Is there a secret formula to success?
Well, she certainly appears to have some common threads running through her shows, which can be referred to as her lucky charm or charms. Let’s dig a little deeper:
With her K-serials, Ekta established a new genre of television programming. Ekta’s Balaji Telefilms was responsible for some of the most popular television shows of the time, including Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, and Kasautii Zindagii Kay, among others. All of her successful shows seem to be connected by a common thread of success that begins with the letter K.
She has since moved on from the letter K, and the term “Bhagya” has become her latest “go to” word. She is the creator of the television series Kumkum Bhagya, which was followed by Kundali Bhagya, Naagin – Bhagya Ka Zehreela Khel, and the most recent of which is Pavitra Bhagya.
There’s more to it than that. In recent years, all popular Balaji shows have had female protagonists with names that begin with the letter “P,” and this trend has continued. Pragya (Sriti Jha) is the daughter of Kumkum Bhagya, and she also has a daughter named Prachi (Mugdha Chaphekar). Shraddha Arya plays our beloved Preeta in the Kumkum Bhagya spin-off, Kundali Bhagya, which is currently airing on Star Plus.
Isn’t it strange how things work out? or was it well thought out?
Preesha is the name of a character in the film Yeh Hai Chahatein, which is the storey of a single mother. This is another example of the letter P being used (Sargun Kaur Luthra). Bepanah Pyaar and Pavitra Bhagya, on the other hand, featured female leads named Pragati (Ishita Dutta) and Pranati (Aneri Vajani), respectively, in their respective films. Finally, in Molkki, the lead actress Priyal Mahajan is referred to on-screen as Purvi, rather than Priya.
Sakshi Tanwar has previously appeared in Balaji shows such as Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii and Bade Acche Lagte Hain, in which she played the roles of Parvati and Priya.
Whatever the case may be, whether it is an astrological formula for success or some other ideology that is driving it, we must admit that it is working wonders for Ekta, the television queen.
